About Me

Hawwa is a British Pakistani artist. She grew up in Luton, often visiting museums in London like Tate Modern and the National Gallery.
She attended Lea Manor High School and studied Fine Art as a GCSE, then furthered her artistic journey at St. George’s School in Harpenden, pursuing Fine Art in A-Levels where she developed her skills and subject knowledge.

“Each of my art teachers has had a distinct influence on my style.”
Her first teacher encouraged her to experiment with diverse media such as acrylic paint, printmaking, and sculpting clay, laying a strong foundation for her creative development. This guidance culminated in a deeply personal sculpture of a bull, representing the duality of adolescence—stubborn and fragile. Using clay, a material both firm and delicate, she captured the complexity of teenage emotions, applying everything she had learned to bring this piece to life.
Hawwa’s most recent art teacher left an equally profound mark on her evolving style. Known for his eccentric approach, he pushed her to embrace imperfections as an essential part of the creative process and to find inspiration within them. He expanded her understanding of color theory, teaching her to use black as a contrast to make colors pop and to incorporate pure white highlights to add depth and achieve a full spectrum of tones. These lessons continue to shape her vibrant and boundary-pushing artistic style.

After completing her education in the UK, Hawwa traveled spending time traveling across the America from New York to California. Then backpacking across eleven countries in Europe, a chance to explore culture and experience the art she had been studying for so long. Her travels inspired her to create paintings that can be found in her portfolio.
When asked about her time in Europe, Hawwa says, “Among all the places I visited, Florence left the most profound impact on me.” She spent hours sketching the art in the historic Uffizi Gallery and witnessed the transformative power of architecture. The intricate design of the Duomo and how it harmoniously blended with the surrounding Florentine landscape. She observed how the streets surrounding the cathedral transformed from bustling with tourists during the day to vibrant locals dancing the night away. Florence sparked a passion for architecture in her.
Now, Hawwa’s journey has led her to the United States, where she plans to pursue her passion for architecture.
